This year is set to see Iteca exhibitions and
conferences hold at least two exhibitions on
tourism and leisure, namely Kazakhstan
International Tourism Fair (KITF) 2009,
slated to take place in Almaty from April 23
to 25, and AstanaLeisure 2009 organised to
be held from October 6 to 8 in Astana.
“The tourism fair KITF is the biggest exhibition in our region. Notably, KITF is included in the annual UNWTO action plan and is held jointly with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan,” regional director, ITE Group Plc – CIS and general director, Iteca Exhibition Company, Kazakhstan, Edward Strachan told TTG.
This year, KITF is expecting some 20,000 visitors and exhibiting companies from more than 30 international countries. “The event will focus on the presentation of our country,” continued Strachan.
October is set to see Astana hosting heads of tourism ministries and agencies from 157 countries for the annual AstanaLeisure exhibition. “Kazakhstan boasts huge tourist potential with unique natural, historical and cultural sites. We are proud that our tourism exhibitions bring new tourists to this country.”
