Tourism, Sport and Physical culture governing body of the Zhambyl region, which realize control in the sphere of tourism. There are 19 travel companies, 14 hotel complexes, 4 health-resort centers and physiotherapeutic hospitals operating in the region provide a wide range of services to arrange rest and medical treatment for local and foreign tourists. Taraz has a rich ancient history. There are great numbers of remarkable and mysterious monuments of the olden time. They are situated in the surroundings of Taraz. Among them architectural pears of mausoleums of Aisha-Bibi and Babadja-Khatun, Karahan and Dautbek, Tekturmas, monumental building of massive blocks of Akyrtas and many others. The unique flora and fauna, nice climate conditions, a specific beauty of this land harbour many appeals and mysteries for those who are fond of traveling and discovering the world. All this makes it possible to provide various types of rest and develop the most interesting travel routes, including foreign ones.
